We have been learning all about the Titanic. We find it very interesting although a little sad. Titanic was built in Belfast, over a century ago, and was the largest and fanciest steamship in the world. Although Tianic was said to be 'unsinkable' , it hit an iceberg and sank on its 'maiden' voyage in 1912. We know that an iceberg is a huge floating chunk of ice , and what is seen above the surface is only a tenth of its full size. We have been examining newspapers, books, postcards, letters etc and know lots of new, interesting facts. We also did some chalk Titanic pictures for art and have worked on sequencing events in history. Tomorrow for english we will be writing a diary entry.
