The Lord Mayor of Galway and Canine Buddies visit 6th Class!

We had a fantastic day today learning all about dogs with Carmel and Isaac from Canine Buddies! We were very lucky to have the Lord Mayor of Galway, Frank Fahy, visit also. We learned how to analyse a dog's demeanor and how to behave in certain situations around dogs. We learned lots about how to be a responsible dog owner and how to provide the best care for them. The Lord Mayor spoke about how to manage our dog in the city and public places. We also got to meet 'Homer' and 'Marge' who are two rescue dogs and now act as therapy dogs! We really enjoyed our informative visit and had a great session!
