Today our class went on a seashore safari with Brendan from the Galway Alantaquaria. Before we left Brendan came and discussed the things we must do to be safe during our trip. We then got a bus to Grattan Beach. When we arrived we split into groups and went exploring in the water for various sea life that we might not have previously spotted. We saw lots of interesting things. After the exploration we had a sand castle competition and before we left we did a clean up on the beach. After lunch Brendan came to visit our class again and discussed how long it takes various materials to break down in the sea. We were shocked it took some things so long. Brendan encouraged us all to make a special effort to keep our beaches clean. Here are some pictures of our day:
