On Wednesday the 2nd of May, Brendan from the Antlantaquarium invited us on a Seashore Safari in Salthill. We had the best day exploring the marine life on the beach. Brendan showed us Mermaid Purses which are the shell of a shark egg, helped us identify cockles and mussels and even found various types of crabs!
We had a sandcastle competition to see what type of sand is best for construction, we explored the rock pools and the sea for marine habitats and creatures, had races on the beach to warm up in the chilly weather conditions and we finished off by having our lunch on the beach. It was such a fantastic day out! Big thank you to Brendan from the aquarium from all of 6th class!
Welcome to our school blog.
