![]() We have been working on group projects entitled “Laudable Legacies”. Our inspiration for these projects stemmed from work in RE where we had to reflect on what type of people we would like to be and how best to lead our lives. We were saddened by the death of Seamus Heaney and so read his poem “Midterm Break” which is a tribute to his baby brother. They are now laid to rest side by side. We were also listening to the beautiful music "Morning" by Edvard Grieg whose 100th year anniversary has just occurred. We were thinking how wonderful it is that we are listening to his music 100 years on and celebrating his life. Children will also be reading Seamus Heaney’s poetry 100 years from now and this inspired us to dedicate our projects to people who have left praise-worthy legacies behind them, may they be still with us or have passed on. We worked on various people such as Marie Curie, Neil Armstrong, Stephen Hawking, Roald Dahl, Rosa Parks and Diego Maradona. An eclectic yet laudable bunch!
