Over the past 5 weeks, we have been having great fun taking part in Junior Achievement Ireland's "Energize" programme. The aim of the programme is to encourage students to continue with science in secondary school, while also introducing them to the career opportunities available to them in the future. Energize explores the world of science, health & wellbeing, forensics, energy, safety and light in a fun and exciting way.
Due to Covid Restrictions, our JAI facilitator (Matteo) was unable to physically come into our classroom to deliver the programme but instead, he joined us virtually for each workshop. We would like to say a huge thank you to Matteo and to all the JAI team for organising the sessions for us. Each session was very interactive and we really looked forward to it each week!
We took part in 5 workshops which were:
1. My Health, My Well-Being
2. Mystery and Maggie's Manor (forensic science & chromatography)
3. Energy Explorers
4. Safety First
Take a look at some of our photos to see what we got up to!
