Today, Monday March 4th, we were very lucky to have Sarah and Lizanne from N.U.I.G in to visit our classrooms. They are both studying Biomedical Engineering and spoke to us about all the different areas of engineering we can study when we are older. They explained to us what is involved in their area of engineering and showed us very interesting objects such as bones, knee replacements , a 3D heart and a heart stent. They gave us a task at the end to see who could build the tallest tower using spaghetti, blu - tack and sellotape with a marshmallow on top . Our towers were very impressive and some reached over one metre tall.
