In Room 6 we've been busy this term learning about the polar regions of the world, Antarctica and The Arctic. We learned about Tom Crean's three expeditions to the Antarctic in History. We learned about the long journeys animals make to and from the Arctic in Geography. We learned how animals are adapted to living in cold places in Science.
We learned about Mexico in History, Geography and Science. We learned about the Aztec people who live in Mexico and then about the Spanish that took over 500 years ago. We learned about the mountains, deserts, rain forests and beaches of Mexico. We read about the lives of children living in Mexico and about their customs, traditions and the food they eat.
We have been learning about Australia and the amazing animals that live there. We've learned lots about marsupials( pouched mammals) and read some great stories about wombats, possums and an amazing trip around Australia!
