Today we were delighted to have our Multicultural Day back after two years. It is a day where we celebrate all the different countries of the children in our school and their wonderful cultures and traditions. The children created amazing projects, wore traditional clothes and brought in some delicious food. A huge thank you to all the families who came in to help out. We all had a very enjoyable day! We celebrated our annual Multicultural Day on June 7th. As usual it was a great day with all the various countries in our school being represented. The children worked hard on projects and also dressed up in traditional clothes and brought in some delicious food from their country. We are already looking forward to next years event! Seachtain na Gaeilge atá ann! Tugann Seachtain na Gaeilge deis ar leith do dhaoine óga Gaeilge a labhairt agus a úsáid chomh maith le cúpla focal nua a fhoghlaim. Today as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, we had our Maidin Gaeilge. All of our classes did a little performance in the Hall. Junior Infants – 2nd Class were in the hall between 9.30am and 10.40am singing Irish songs and playing tunes on their tin whistles. 3rd – 6th Classes were performing between 11.15am and 12.45pm and performed mini dramas, Irish songs and poetry. Friday the 3rd of June, was our Annual Multicultural Day. There were over 25 different countries represented and we feel very proud to have celebrated this special day and the diversity in our school. It was a fantastic day full of splendor and colour - there was a big variety of food and cooking, national dress, music, projects, photos, artwork and lots more. The stands were very impressive and everyone really enjoyed the festivities. We would like to thank all of the parents and children who made such a huge effort to make this day so special and wonderful. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
