Well done Anna on such great work!! We investigated soil during the week. The children found stones, weeds, sticks, blades of grass and seeds. Unfortunately we did not find any worms in this soil sample. Hopefully next time.
Well done to Cillian in Ms.Lane's 2nd class who won player of the week on yard. Cillian played with kindness and respect and we are very proud of him.
On Friday we did a soil investigation. We found worms, stones, roots, moss, twigs and leaves in the soil. We used magnifying glasses to get a closer look. We released the worms into the soil outside afterwards. Here's some recent artwork that we have done. We created a flower using our hands to show that, like petals, 'we are each unique and beautiful, but together we are a masterpiece.' We also made autumn trees. We used cotton buds to create our leaves. We dabbed them into orange, red and yellow paint and onto our page.
We made delicious soup in school today. With the help of some parents we picked vegetables from the garden that we had sown last year. We added them to the vegetables we brought in from home to make our soup. We really enjoyed making it and it was really tasty. We are very lucky to have gotten the chance to make soup in class this morning. We brought in some vegetables and equipment from home. We went outside and picked the vegetables we grew in the school garden last year. We then washed and peeled all the vegetables and got help to chop them up. Three lovely parents came in to help us make the soup. It was really delicious!! We even had brown bread and croutons, yum! |
