A couple of weeks ago 'Canine Buddies' came to our school. We had loads of fun! Carmel who works for 'Canine Buddies' showed us a worskshop called 'Responsible Dog Ownership' and Cllr Billy Cameron also came along as the programme is supported by the city council. The workshop taught us about the body language of dogs and what they like and don't like. We learned how to take care of our dogs and also how to protect ourselves if attacked by a dog. We also learned how to use a pooper scooper which we found funny! After the demonstrations we got to meet two small dogs, Yorkie and Homer, who the instructor, Carmel, had rescued and trained. Yorkie had been abused and was a little shy. We really enjoyed and learned a lot from the workshop. We will complete a project on 'Responsible Dog Ownership' for a competition next year.
