Mr. Cunningham and Ms. Regan's classes went to Silver Strand on Tuesday 24th June. We had great fun - swimming, digging and eating. We had a lovely barbeque - we cooked hot dogs and toasted marshmallows. It was a great day!!!
The Junior Infants in Room 2 investigated magnets today. First we guessed if a magnet would stick to certain items and then we had lots of fun testing it out!!Have a look at our pictures to see the results.....
The boys and girls of second class kindly donated a cheque for 317 Euro to the Jack and Jill foundation. Well done boys and girls!
Our class won a trip to The Planet at the Galway Shopping Centre. We got the bus to The Planet and we played in the soft play area. Ms. Hyne's class also came on our trip but they went bowling. Here are some photograph's of us at The Planet......
Today, we had a visit from the Galway fire station. A number of firemen called to the school in a fire engine. They allowed us to spray the hose, and to climb into the fire engine. We tried on a helmet, and we even turned on the siren. It was great fun. Thanks to everyone in Galway Fire Station!
Junior Infants had a fun filled day yesterday at Loughwell farm! Here is some thoughts on yesterday from Room 2......Niamh and Adam liked the zip wire best. Martyna and Daniel liked the cars best. Jamie, Jake and Rowan loved the animals. Ailbhe and Michael thought the go karts were great fun. Orla and Róise liked the sand area because there were lots of games to play. Dylan Czaja and Raven liked the big slide and the mini- golf. Dafe and Adeline loved the three week old bunnies. Sophia' s favourite animal is the pony so she adored the pony ride. Max, Dylan and Bernard said the tractor ride was cool. Wojciech, Eabha and Ms. Kavanagh enjoyed all the above!!:)
The Confirmation classes presented their donation of €405 to the Ability West charity recently. Many thanks to all the boys and girls who contributed generously to this worthwhile charity!
We had a jam packed day full of fun activities in Petersburg on School Tour this year!! We were divided into groups to do land and water activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, wind surfing, sailing, kayaking and canoeing! We had a really sunny day and an ice-cream to cool off on the trip home! We even got some underwater pictures!!! The teachers had a lot of fun participating also!
On Wednesday, June 18th the Junior Infants from Miss Cunningham's and Miss Kavanagh's class went on their school tour to Loughwell Pet Farm in Moycullen. We got a bus to the farm. When we got to the farm we played with the sand and the zipwire and got to in the tractor. After that we went to the Playbarn and had lots of fun going down the slides. Next we went on the didi cars, played bowling and made huge towers with giant Lego. After that we did an obstacle course and played some mini golf. Before we went back to school we got a tour of the farm and saw lots of beautiful animals. Finally we played in the sand again and drove some go karts. We had a great day. We are on the move again! Today Ms. Regan's class were at the play area at The Planet - a prize we won in a colouring competition. We had great fun -as you can see from the photos. Thirsty work - we drank 5litres of water in an hour. Thanks to all our taxi drivers!
Today we went to Dangan to enjoy the sunshine. We had a picnic, ran some races, played some games and had a great time!
On Friday 13th June, we went on our school tour to Loughwell Pet Farm.We had great fun. Mr. Cunningham certainly enjoyed the barrell train!

OUR BOYS DID REALLY WELL DURING THE CUMANN NA NBUNSCOILE FOOTBALL BLITZ IN MERVUE WITH MR MCDONAGH. WELL DONE LADS :)
World cup 2014 is kicking off tomorrow, June 12th, in Brazil. Unfortunately Ireland didn't qualify:(( We created projects on the laptops in pairs based on the theme of the World Cup. We chose topics ranging from a country participating to the history of the event to the story behind the trophy itself. Take a look at our work....
Today we made pizzas. We made the dough using yeast, and watched it rise. Then we rolled it out, put our toppings on and baked our pizzas. They smelled and tasted delicious!!
