When the big hand is on 12 it's o'clock and when it's on 6 it's half past! We played a fun game based on time... Snow globes and reindeer took over 5th class over the winter and filled our room with beautiful colours! We had a brilliant month preparing for our play, 'Sasha Got Swept Up The Chimney'. It was a great success and we thoroughly enjoyed performing in front of other classes and for our parents before the holidays. Take a look at our pictures ! We have recently been learning lots about the topic of Light in 6th Class. We are exploring terminology such as Refraction, Transparent, Translucent, Opaque, Solar Power and Prisms. We carried out experiments in pairs to show that light changes speed and bends when travelling through a transparent substance such as water. We have been working on the topic of Shape and Space in Maths in 6th class recently. We have been looking at all types of polygons, quadrilaterals and triangles in detail. We really enjoyed the activity based on tangrams. It was challenging but fun and we worked in pairs to try and configure each shape! |
