This Tuesday we were blessed with a fabulous morning so what better way to make the most of the weather by going on a nature walk down to Dangan! We explored historical and geographical elements this morning taking in beautiful views along our trail. We worked in pairs to complete our booklet which challenged us to find out about various trees and plants like comparing the structure of their leaves .
Along our trail we came across Menlo Castle which was once owned by the Burke family. We also explored the ruins of the Tea Rooms which were once owned by the Martin family. The lake separating the two ruins is Lough Corrib and we discovered its uses such as rowing and fishing.
We had such a great time and loved working together. We are so lucky to have such interesting historical and geographical sites on our doorstep!
