Why not have a clear out of your 'Clobber' over St. Patrick's weekend? All old clothes, bed linen and shoes are accepted, nothing electrical please. Just put your clobber into bin bags and drop the bags into the school hall on Wednesday 22nd March (morning and afternoon drop offs) and Thursday 23rd (morning only). Help the Parents Association raise funds for our school projects, the garden, library, equipment etc. All help much appreciated.

This year we are participating in the Christmas cards for Schools project which will raise much needed funds for the school. Your child has designed a unique Christmas card and a sample of this was sent home in the past week with an order form. The cards will come in packs of 10 and will be packaged in cellophane wrap and come with 10 matching envelopes. The cards cost €10 per pack, €20 for 2 packs or €25 if 3 packs are purchased by one household.
If you have any corrections to how your child's name appears on their card please write it in the box on the order form. If you would like to buy these cards then please complete the order form and bring it along with pre-payment to the school lobby on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th November between 8.45am - 9.30am and 1.30pm - 2.30pm ONLY. Members of the Parents' Association will be there to take your order. Please Note: There will be no other opportunity to submit your order other than the two days mentioned above as we must return our orders to the printers by Tuesday evening in order to have the cards back and distributed by early December. If you have any queries please email stjamesnsparentass@gmail.com. Thank you for all your support. Recently we have purchased baking equipment for the school. This means that the children are able to bake a wider range of foods. We hope they enjoy using them!
Many thanks to all the parents who supported our fundraising activities in Autumn 2015. The Christmas Quiz was a great success - thanks to everyone bought tickets and all those who donated prizes. Our total profit from the night was €1046.50.
The Christmas cards were a great success too. The children enjoyed making them and we had some great feedback from many parents, so we'll be hoping to run the scheme again next year. In total we made €1,523 from the sale of the cards. All of this money will be used to fund projects within the school. |
